MENERT Ltd. is a company, which has several years of experience with the reconstruction of central heating systems and the construction of technological entities it offers its experience in the area of renewable energy resources. Its main intention is to use alternative fuels with purpose of decreasing the cost of the heat.

 

Biomass

In 2006 MENERT renovated two boiler houses with their operating fields being changed from gas to biomass. Using straw at one location and wood chips at the other. The nominal output is 2 x 1,5 MW. Ecologicaly produced heat from both boiler houses is being supplied to hot-water distribution network in the town of Šala all year long.

Straw

Straw is one of the worthiest used kinds of biomass and its use as a energy source is increasing rapidly. With the low amount of annual precipitation in the low lying areas of southern Slovakia, straw provides great potential in heat production. Straw bales from agricultural cereals are compressed into square or round bales weighing 250 kg.

Biogas plants
